ENRICH YOU LIFE AND YOUR RECOVERY WITH TOUCH

Explore touch as a mode of mediation, nourishment, body connection, emotional processing and Higher Power connections. Nourish yourself mentally, physically and emotionally and learn to receive pleasure without drinking, eating, gambling or using in other ways. Explore touch as meditation where there is no goal, outcome, right or wrong way to be or to feel. Allow and witness thoughts, emotions and sensations without judgment or trying to change them. Explore how to connect in new and different ways with your Higher Power and use the body as the portal to the divine with touch, breath and voice.

GENTLE CHAIR YOGA

Gentle chair yoga, meditation and mindfulness practice focused on energizing the body gently, focusing and calming the mind and connecting with that internal spirit that all is well.

THE FOUR AGREEMENTS

The Four Agreements offers four simple “agreements” we can make with ourselves to gain relief from self-limiting beliefs. Caren and Judy have studied and applied these agreements for some time, and have found them a useful addition to their recovery. In this hour long workshop they will give a short summary of the agreements, share some quotes from the book and offer personal examples of how they have implemented them in to their own lives.

with the intention of creating an Daily Reflections Mediation Book for ABA members.

Are you passionate about ABA and hanging out with fellows in recovery?
Would you love to read an daily mediation book for ABA members ?
Do you struggle to create quiet time?
Does perfectionism or pessimistic thinking prevent you from following through with submitting a reading?

Join me as we create quiet space together beginning and ending with prayer, Purposefully creating daily reflections based on ABA approved literature. Submissions are optional.

FRENCH LESSONS

Bonjour! Would you like to learn some conversational French in a fun workshop so that you can hold your own when traveling to Quebec, France, or even Switzerland?. Or want to speak to that “certain someone” and show off some French skills? Then come join us for a fun hour of French basics! We will learn how to ask where things are, how to order from a menu or just how to say hello and ask some questions. If you wish, you can let me know ahead of time what terminology might interest you. Hope to see you there! A bientot!

DECLUTTERING

Are you tired of feeling weighed down and frustrated by clutter?

This workshop is for those folks who are wanting “ to release stuff they no they longer want or need in their life”.  We explore the roadblocks that prevent the natural flow of decluttering.  We will discuss how to get ready: spiritually, emotionally, and physically.  Often this process of letting go and clearing space will benefit and enhance other areas in our life. 

There will be lots of time for Q&A.

BODYTALK

BodyTalk system is rooted in traditional ancient wisdom. Our well-being is based on healthy communication among all systems of the body. BT is a healing modality that re-establishes communication within the BodyMind.  Our unconscious belief systems impact our body’s natural healing and balance. BUILDING YOUR BRAND (for Beginners!)

What does it mean to “brand” your business or services — and why is it so important? Every business has a story. This workshop will explore strategies for telling a cohesive and compelling story with your website, social media, and advertisements with a special focus on where to begin.

As we no longer have a physical office, please email the office manager if you require any literature. Arrangements will need to be made for pick-up of  any literature orders within Edmonton and area.

To the fellowship,

During this time of COVID-19 things are rapidly changing. We trust that everyone is taking good care and that each meeting is making autonomous decisions regarding how to keep everyone safe. Some live meetings have gone online and others have closed temporarily. If you have a change to your meeting such as a temporary closure, please email the office so that we can update the website.

If you are meeting live, then you may, as a group, decide not to hold hands at the end in prayer but instead to just pray next to each other. Feel free to take the actions that fit for you and your group and remember that we need to keep ourselves healthy and we also need to keep others that might be more vulnerable safe as well.

We have been told that due to closures of institutions that there is an increased demand for the services of Zoom rooms. Due to that, the Zoom system has been quite busy and there have been some connection issues with our virtual meetings. Therefore, we have instituted a back up system to connect for the AGM in case we run into problems. Please see the website for details on that.

Also, know that orders that come into the office may take longer than usual as we face the slowing down of services. We ask for your patience with this.

Remember to use all of our tools to connect with each other while taking precautions. Use your phone and email to stay connected as we all may need increased support in that way during this turbulent time. We can pray and meditate to stay grounded as well.
